Some sunning of board edges and light foxing of flyleaves and preliminary pages; otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 8 pages of black and white photographic plates. Autobiography of Bernard Darwin (1876-1961), grandson of Charles Darwin and brought up in his home of Down House, Kent. It covers his years at Eton and Cambridge and his career in golf. He was the first regular golf correspondent for The Times 1907-53 and Country Life 1907-6i, and the author of numerous golf related titles in addition to books on cricket and on Dickens.
