Some wear to lower board edges, including base of spine and foxing of top edge; otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 16 pages of black and white photographic plates and by 4 maps in text. Map endpapers. Decorated by publisher's device on second free endpaper. Historical and descriptive account of the River Indus from its source in the mountains as it flows through the plains of Pakistan to its delta with the Arabian Sea. By Scottish writer and playwright, Jean Fairley who served in the WAAF and SOE during the war and later with the International Civil Aviation Organization.
