Illustrated by 12 plates including frontispiece and black and white photographs with two folding plans, with text figures and tables. Decorated by publisher's device on title page. Early edition of standard work on ships cargo stowage with extensively revised editions appearing up to the present day, It includes a list of the principal commodities with their stowage requirements.
