Both boards water stained at edges with pink stains on rear board; otherwise a very good copy with clean interior. Illustrated by ten colour plates and by text figures. Decorated by title page and vignettes, including section headings. Twenty seven Soviet scientists and engineers look forward to the twenty-first century, covering such topics as energy and power, biology, communications and space travel. The illustrations include the old favourites of futurologists, driverless cars and aerial taxis.
