The book opens with a couple coming together on 15 July 1988 and then separating for twenty years; the story then follows their two separate lives on the same day each year until they encounter each other again. The novel, the third of screenwriter and novelist, David Nicholls (b. 1966) was first published in 2009, here presented as limited edition in a slipcase.
