Illustrated by 24 full page drawings by the author and by map. Decorated by publisher's device on title page. Account of the author's travels in France to and from Andorra, via the Loire, La Rochelle, Cognac, Bordeaux, Pau, etc., returning via Albi, Vienne, Burgundy, Bourges and Chartres, etc. Youngman Carter (1904-69) was an artist, illustrator and short story writer, married to famous detective fiction author, Margery Allingham (1904-66).
