Large 8vo. 9.5 x 7 inches. 127 pp. + [1] pp. printer's colophon. All text in French. In pictorial yellow limp card wrapper with black titles and blurb on rear wrapper. Some wear, light spotting and staining of wrappers, sunning of spine and foxing of edges, but otherwise a very good copy. Pictorial bookplate and stamp of David Collyer of Deal, Kent aviation and World War Two historian. Illustrated throughout by black and white photographs, drawings, facsimiles, maps and plans. Well illustrated French account of the German heavy gun batteries located on the Pas de Calais between Boulogne and Calais. These guns fired across the Channel on to the coast of Kent, especially the towns of Dover and Folkestone, from 1940-44, until they were captured by the advancing Canadian army at the end of September 1944.
