Folded folio. 16.25 x 13 inches. Printed form with manuscript entries on blue paper with historic fold in centre, which has been strengthened later. A very good copy. The audited accounts of the New Cross Turnpike Trust, which ran from Bermondsey to Croydon. Considered to be a profitable and well managed trust, the accounts, which may be the last ones as tolls were abolished in 1865, show a balance of ?1600 (Thehill.org.uk New Cross Gate website).
