Extremities worn, including head and tail of spine, which is sunned, and stained. Flyleaves browned and some scattered foxing and staining; otherwise a very good copy. Signature of Anthony Hordern with addresses in London and Sydney, on front flyleaves and, dated 1905, at head of title; another later signature on second free endpaper. Illustrated by 38 engraved text figures. Decorated by initials. A handbook of cage birds, arranged by family, e.g. doves, parrots, thrushes, etc. Copy owned by Anthony Hordern of the Hordern family of Sydney, Australia. The Hordern Department store was once the largest in the world.
