Notes
The two volumes were edited by Reginald Robinson Sharpe (1848-1925) and copies were obviously presented by the Town Clerk of the Corporation of London to public libraries around the country. They contain summaries of thousands of wills proved in the City of London for a period of 430 years. This provides a valuable record of the various trades practised and of the fixed and movable possessions, including stock, tools and household possessions of the inhabitants.
