Illustrated by 4 pages of black and white plates. A contemporary version of the story of the Three Wise Men, who are a physicist, an Assyriologist and an Empire Builder and Administrator. A work of Christmas fiction by William John Locke (1863-1930), novelist, dramatist and playwright, well known as a short storywriter. Popular in the US, about thirty of his titles were adapted for the cinema screen, some several times (the UK film, Ladies in Lavender of 2004 being the most recent). Illustrated by US artist, Blendon Campbell (1872-1969).
