Minor wear to board edges and foxing of upper page edges; otherwise a very good clean copy. Illustrated by 16 pages of colour plates, paginated in text and by 198 monochrome text figures. Decorated by double page title vignette. A textual and visual history of English ceramic production in one of its most creative periods, referencing the work of the company of Josiah Wedgwood (1730-95). Following a Chronology, chapters include Queen's, Variegated, Pearl and Cane Wares, Black Basalt, Jasper and Rosso Antico.
